4 Fabulous Local Holiday Outings

The Holidays are a time we focus on togetherness. Head out to one of the great traditional holiday themed shows in the Twin Cities this year with your favorites.

Holiday Light Tours – Throughout December

Hop in with a group anywhere from 2 to 30 and take a customized holiday light tour of the Twin Cities. Executive Transportation has scouted out this year’s holiday lights displays and will create a custom route for you based on your desired start and end locations. During December, you’ll have weekday and weekend tour options. You’ll have time to connect as your ride along. Because we’re taking care of the driving, everyone will be able to enjoy the view. Tours have limited availability, so book early for the most options on dates and times.

Mannheim Steamroller – November 18th

Mannheim Steamroller brings live music with a Christmas theme to town each year. Enjoy music for your ears with strings, a full band, and singers. Feast your eyes on the beautifully decorated stage with choreographed lighting. The group performs lively renditions of Christmas Classics. They’re at the Mystic Lake Showroom in Prior Lake on November 18th – the only MN date this year.

The Nutcracker – December 2-3

Every year, the Orpheum features the great Russian Nutcracker during the holiday season. The Ballet from 1892 has stood the test of time and is a great holiday tradition. With one show on Friday, December 2nd and two on Saturday, December 3 availability is limited. Tickets are available through the Hennepin Theater Trust.

A Christmas Carol – November 12 – December 31

One of the longest running Christmas traditions in the Cities has been the production of A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie in Minneapolis. In its 48th season this year, the company will repeat last season’s adaptation by Lavina Jadhwani. The performance features new scenic, costume, prop, lighting and sound designs. Preview performances start this week.
